Before: Overgrown Side Yard
Side yards are another commonly overlooked space. With a little planning, you can make something out of the narrowest of spaces.
After: Create a Hidden Patio
The new patio is a perfect private getaway filled with personal style. The long, narrow space made it tough to create one seating area, so the homeowner created two “mini rooms” — with seating options at the front and the back of the space. Screens such as tall container gardens can help separate spaces feel even more like distinct rooms.

Simple changes make a huge difference from the before to the after photo of this entry way. A bold door with attractive and striking trim guides your eye directly to the walkway where residents and guests enter creating a strong mouth of chi. Removing the fence panels on either side of the walkway, clearing weeds, and creating an attractive patio with grass and stone open the visual flow to the door and house numbers are now visible from the street as well. With an eye to safety, the hose is coiled and removed from the sidewalk. A good cleaning and sprucing makes this new entryway pop and shine. Photo Source: Crestview Doors

By IFSG Blog Team, on July 28th, 2011% Before The Bedroom is a place for relaxation and rejuvenation. Space feels stale and not very nourishing. The bed frame and pillows are not sturdy or supportive. Room and furniture colors lack life and energy. Right lamp shade is missing.
After
The bed appears more solid and supportive. Side tables have matching lamps with lamp shades. The color blend of pale blue and earthy brown provide balance and visual interest. Artwork on wall behind the bed provides a bolder statement and better matches the size of furniture. The orchid on the side table invites the symbolism of harmony, unity and love to this room.

Space looks functional and serves its purpose as a living room. However, the dark colors of the carpet make the space look a little dull, cluttered and not very cozy or inviting.
After
Space that is not only functional, but amazingly beautiful. This new living room is refreshing, warm and bright. Inviting and cozy, an absolute oasis of joy, harmony and tranquility.

By IFSG Blog Team, on May 14th, 2011% Before Space looks functional and serves it’s purpose – to eat. However, chairs do not provide a sturdy solid back support and the table is too slim and narrow to easily and comfortably seat two people.
After Space that is not only functional but amazingly beautiful. Chairs are solid and provide excellent support. The wider table allows ample room to eat in comfort.
