Feng Shui Life School of London

Feng Shui Life School of London

Director/owner of the Feng Shui Life School of Feng Shui in London, Vicky Sweetlove, is a natural intuitive and professional feng shui consultant and teacher. She has been teaching and consulting for over 20 years and currently teaches in London and around the world a Feng Shui Foundation Course, Space Clearing and Earth Alchemy Practitioner Course.

You will love hearing about her upcoming plans and thoughts on Feng Shui.  Her work with the senses and Akashic connections, adds a powerful level to her work.

Q: Please describe your very first coming into awareness about Feng Shui.
Vicky: I was working at City University in London in the Faculty as a PA/Office Manager.  They were very forward-thinking, not just in IT, and they even demonstrated an auric field machine to read your aura.  The internet had only just started, along with email, and virtual office was something new with people having virtual meetings.

I was introduced to Feng Shui when Gina Lazenby dropped into the office with her partner who lectured at the university and she had her Feng Shui book, “The Feng Shui House Book,” with her. I then started looking into feng shui, how it worked, what were the effects, and how it affected the environment and the people.

Q: What is your branch of Feng Shui? How have you made it your own?
Vicky:  I love all aspects of Feng Shui and I would say that most of my clients come to me because of the earth energy work I do with their homes and the land.  I dowse and work with the elementals, the etheric world, and the spirit of place.  I dowse remotely and am shown the site of the home/office, the portal energies, circles in the carpets, tree branches that hug each other, before I even arrive at the home/office.

Learning from the etheric world how to read the signs and synchronicities, I am able to help my clients.  “Magic” happens when we do the offerings to the earth and its always something that the client has and didn’t know they had or their favourite treat to eat.

Q:  How has Feng Shui changed your life?
Vicky:  My life changed dramatically with Feng Shui with every bit of knowledge I learned. I put it to use in my own home and saw the affects when changing my sitting and sleeping directions; changing what I surrounded myself with in artwork and colours. Also, I find it also important to know more about the shape of the houses we live in, the effects of missing spaces, how important to have a square house, or at the very least no missing spaces.

By making significant changes in my own home, I gained better health, traveled to far away places meeting amazing clients from all walks of life, and enjoyed adventures that I would not have experienced otherwise. It makes magic happen in all areas of your life.

Q: Describe your school’s approach to teaching Feng Shui.
Vicky: With my school, I take a different approach working more with the landscape’s earth alchemy, geopsychic stress of traumatised land, elementals and spirits. Taking in all aspects of the six senses to connect to the energy of the space as it lives and breathes as we do and if a home or the land is unhappy then it will create unhappiness for the occupants too.
It’s understanding how to harmonise the energies to benefit the home, the elementals and the etheric world all working together to bring harmony for everyone, when you work with the harmonic energies of all living beings seen and unseen.

Encompassing the practices of traditional compass feng shui working with the directions, five elements and the clients astrological bazi charts to give deeper insights into what is happening with the clients, as well as the flying stars for the home and the year as well as checking environmental energies that can affect well-being with EMF’s and Wifi.

Q: What is the newest addition to your curriculum?
Vicky: The latest addition to what my School teaches is the Akashic Connections Practitioner course which takes in Traditional Celtic Shamanic Practices, Denise Linn’s Soul Coaching methods and the Akashic Records working from the heart. When we work with our heart and not our head then ego does not present itself and we can let go of everything.

Working with the Akashic Records of homes, buildings and land; we have had some amazing adventures with the students as well as deep insights on future expectations.

Q: What is the latest area of expansion for your school?
Vicky: I recently published two sets of oracle cards which were channelled to me when I was in Greece in the summer of 2019 and had them published end of 2020. The first set being 56 cards called the “Alchemist Wisdom” from the Akashic Records and gives a chakra reading as well as daily, 3 card and 5 card spreads. Oracle card App coming soon.

I am teaching online oracle card workshops and workshops in London. The second set of cards have not been released yet and they are called 30 Days of Akashic Wisdom from the Akashic Records.”

Q: Besides yourself, what does your school offer that is unique to Feng Shui training opportunities?
Vicky: The Feng Shui training with my school brings in different aspects not just feng shui but space clearing, environmental factors, shamanic practices, earth alchemy and learning how work safely with psychic protection, grounding practices and knowing when, what and how to work with the land and home energies. Reading and diagnosing by using your intuition and all your senses – even when people say “I am not intuitive” everyone is to some degree.

Q: What is your guiding philosophy about teaching Feng Shui?
Vicky:  Listen, sense, see, hear, smell and feel, when you know how to use these your intuition with Feng Shui will give you deeper insights that you will not receive from a book. It’s good to have the book, but then use your intuition and note what are your first intuitive insights from your senses, that is where you will glean the most helpful information you need.

Q: What is your favourite nugget of wisdom about using Feng Shui yourself?
Vicky:  When it feels good and it works leave that life area/sector alone in your home. Only when something is not working in your life then make changes. I find a good clutter clearing will always spark movement to get things to change and shift quickly then a space clearing to balance. [IFSG:  We love all of this!]

Q: What additional training does your school offer or plan to offer?
Vicky:  I will be expanding on my Space Clearing and Earth Alchemy practitioner course to give deeper insights into working with the energy of space for health, and mental wellbeing.

Storyboard ONE by ONE

Katherine Metz, the founder and creator of Feng Shui Storyboard, which has now become The Storyboard ONE by ONE , studied with world-renowned H.H. Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun for 25 years. He was a revolutionary thinker who took the best of traditional Feng Shui and, with extraordinary insight, introduced new concepts to suit our changing world.   Read about her journey and how things are changing yet staying the same at the Storyboard.

Feng Shui Storyboard ONE by ONE

Q: Please describe your very first coming into awareness about Feng Shui.
A: As a child, with shovel in hand and on the sly, I rearranged the flowers in neighboring gardens – much to the chagrin of my mother. As the creator and owner of Blooming Success, my interior landscaping business in the San Francisco Bay Area, mall operators asked for my assistance guiding the flow of visitors. They noticed that as I changed the plantings, people moved in ever-changing ways. We worked together to encourage movement that eased the movement of the elderly, provided teens with safe places to congregate, and opened areas of congestion.

I had not yet heard of Feng Shui.

It was standing on a mountain side, as a location scout for a movie film crew, that I realized I knew something about placement. After two days and wasting thousands of production dollars, I whispered, up close and personal, in the ear of the exasperated director, “Move the car just three feet to the right and you’ll get the shot.” Quite impertinent for a location scout, but successful.

This was the beginning of my search to learn more.

Q: What is your branch of Feng Shui? How have you made it your own?

A: I listened carefully for over twenty-five years, and with each and every meeting, Professor’s Black Sect teachings were broader and deeper. To this day, I continue to be inspired by his desire to share all that he knew.

In that same spirit, I created The Storyboard ONE by ONE, my chronicle of Professor’s mastery. The teachings are “Pure Professor,” rich and unaltered. They carry the weight of time and centuries of positive results. They are steeped in the humility of an enlightened being, and flow from his compassionate heart and wise mind.

With access to this robust and exclusive archive of Professor’s teachings, as well as my 36 years of experience, you can expect to develop a deep understanding of this work in your day-to-day life.

You will develop your craft and sharpen your skills with the knowledge that the information comes directly from One Lineage and One Master. This is the heart of The Storyboard ONE by ONE.

Q: How has Feng Shui changed your life?

A: In addition to becoming a career that has sustained me for 36 years, I am most grateful to truly understand the importance of a masterful mentor. Professor challenged me at every turn. He asked me to take risks. Perhaps, most importantly, he asked, “Are you ready, in an instant, to face someone in need, knowing the most precise and effective answer is at your fingertips?”

I learned that in all things, practice is necessary, courage is mandatory, and loving inspiration is paramount. I learned that it takes time and experience to offer answers that help untie knots and resolve unease. It takes an artist with a masterful sense of timing and great respect for the sanctity of another’s life to “simply” be present and aware. Compassion and inspiration unfold and beauty happens.

Q: Describe your school’s approach to teaching Feng Shui.

A: We must allow ourselves to be surprised by the present moment. In Professor’s words, “We must get a hold of our hearts.” The knowledge we provide enables one to confront chaos and complexity with reason and structure. The methods of spiritual cultivation we provide enable one to confront chaos and complexity with composure and wisdom. With both in place, inspiration and artistry will flourish.

It is our goal to support every student’s original and unique offering, and in the same breath, to offer warmth, courtesy, kindness, respect, generosity, humor, and precision.

Q: What is the newest addition to your curriculum?

A: The Storyboard ONE by ONE is the perfect place to unravel the hidden, quirky, and nuanced Feng Shui clues that you would surely miss without the trained, masterful eye of a Feng Shui Master Teacher.

Q: What is the latest area of expansion for your school?

A: Katherine On Call is open once again.

I have found that it is here, one on one, listening carefully, that we learn to hear Professor’s whispers of wisdom. I have been graced with the understandings of a master. They must not disappear with me.

Q: What additional training does your school offer or plan to offer?

Western School of Feng Shui with Terah Collins

Q: Please describe your very first coming into awareness about Feng Shui.
Terah: I moved to San Diego in 1990 and soon after, was dragged to a lecture by a well-meaning friend on a subject I had zero interest in. I called it Fang Shuey. The speaker was Dr. Richard Tan, Taiwanese acupuncturist and Feng Shui expert, and he completely took me by surprise. He described our homes and offices as living bodies “who” we are in intimate relationship with, whether we know it or not. “When we consciously embrace this relationship,” he said, “we can partner with our surroundings to hold our vitality, prosperity, and happiness in place.”

By the time he finished, I was on fire. This was my future, I could feel it! I registered for all of his Feng Shui classes and dove in.

Q: What is your branch of Feng Shui? How have you made it your own?
Terah: I learned Form School Feng Shui primarily with Dr. Tan. As I practiced, I sorted out the Feng Shui skills that were really helping me and my clients, which included working with the Bagua Map, balancing the 5 Elements, and adjusting Ch’i flow. As an educator, it’s also vitally important to me to teach every student and client how to relate to their surroundings from their own unique perspective. I named my work Essential Feng Shui®, now a registered trademark of the Western School of Feng Shui™.

Q: How has Feng Shui changed your life?
Terah: The first day I applied Feng Shui to my own home, my miserable marriage ended. I had removed a row of dead plants from the Love & Marriage area and cleaned up the extensive clutter in the garage. I was busy enhancing the foyer when my former husband came home, looked around, and blurted out, “I don’t want to be married anymore!” I heard the truth in his voice, resonated with his words, and felt strangely calm. The work I’d done in the house had opened a clear line of communication between us. That really turned my head.

30 days later I was living in my own place. It became my Feng Shui studio where I practiced what I was learning and experienced the results. When I was ready, I hung a wind chime made of bells over my bathtub to call in Love and Marriage. Shortly after, my husband Brian Collins arrived. That was 27 years ago.

Q: Describe your school’s approach to teaching Feng Shui.
Terah: The Essential Feng Shui® Practitioner Certification Training is our signature program, teaching the practical and dynamic coursework on how to enhance people’s lives. It focuses on the many valuable applications Feng Shui has in our Western culture, has no religious affiliations, and honors every individual’s path. It is highly interactive. We teach our students to determine clients’ needs through meaningful dialog and skillful observations, and then to make precise, personalized recommendations that address their clients’ goals for improvement. No two consultations are alike.

Q: What is the newest addition to your curriculum?
Terah: We are always adding new content for our students and alumni, such as new handouts, audio programs, and marketing materials. Our private online forum is also a perpetual font of interesting images, insights, and problem-solving discussions. Our community is dynamic, so there’s always something new in the mix.

Q: What is the latest area of expansion for your school?
Terah: We’ve added a new way to become an Essential Feng Shui Practitioner, which is in a 6-day live classroom setting. This satisfies the desire some students have to learn with kindred spirits, enjoy field trips and live discussions, and be ushered through the training by an experienced EFS Facilitator. Upcoming trainings are scheduled for the Spring of 2020 in Sedona, AZ., Nashua NH., and Calgary, Alberta Canada.

Whether students choose to study live or online, we issue a Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion of the EFSPT, the highest form of certification available in the Western world.

Q: Besides yourself, what does your school offer that is unique to Feng Shui training opportunities?
Terah: The Western School of Feng Shui has 23+ years of experience in the field, which makes us one of the first Feng Shui schools in the USA. We bring lots of practical wisdom to the table. Our students and alumni have the ongoing collaborative support of all those who have studied and practiced before them. Whether they’re preparing for their first consultations, launching their practices, or involved in a complicated case, we are ‘the wind beneath their wings’ offering guidance, wisdom, and encouragement all along the Way.

Q: What is your guiding philosophy about teaching Feng Shui?
Terah: To elicit the genius in every student and client I have the privilege to work with and teach them how to see clearly through their own Feng Shui eyes. There are no rules set in concrete, only fluid guidelines that can help each of us create environments that hold our happiness in place.

Q: What is your favorite nugget of wisdom about using Feng Shui yourself?
Terah: Experiment. Make your own environment your Feng Shui studio. Ideally, Feng Shui is a lifestyle, not an event. Feel into it, try things out, LIVE IT, and see what happens. That’s what I do and it’s transformational.

Mindful Design Feng Shui School

Our latest Feng Shui School Spotlight features the Mindful Design Feng Shui School with founders and directors, Anjie Cho and Laura Morris.  These talented and wise educators bring a new level of business + Feng Shui sense for their students, bringing an enjoyable freshness and passion.

The Interview…

Q: Please describe your very first coming into awareness about Feng Shui.
A: Laura: I think the first time I truly became aware was over 20 years ago, I was single, and tired of the quality of men I was meeting. My friend suggested I try feng shui and lent me a book. I bagua-ed my space, made a few simple adjustments, and long story short, two weeks later I met the man who is now my husband. I decided I wanted to learn more about this amazing practice, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Anjie: Feng shui has always been in the background for me. Being aware of my environment, and the impact it has on me was part of my upbringing. This awareness was solidified in my twenties when I was looking for a way to bring more mindfulness and spirituality to my career. I took my first feng shui course at the Open Center in NYC and fell in love with the practice.

Q: What is your branch of Feng Shui? How have you made it your own?
A: We teach a traditional approach to Black Sect (BTB) feng shui. We have had the good fortune to have had amazing teachers and mentors, we honour them and H.H. Master Lin Yun, by closely following the lineage and passing on this collective wisdom to our students.

Because of our backgrounds in interior design and architecture, Mindful Design Feng shui School is a unique blend of mindfulness practices, traditional BTB feng shui, and business school.

Q: How has Feng Shui changed your life?
A: To put it simply, feng shui brought us together. Feng shui brought us to where we are today – founders of the Mindful Design Feng Shui School. The study and practice of feng shui allowed both of us to begin brand-new, unique, heart centered, joyful careers as entrepreneurs. It has strengthened our qi, our confidence, and given us the tools to hone our own intuitive gifts.

Q: Describe your school’s approach to teaching Feng Shui.
A: Mindful Design School takes a practical and hands-on approach to feng shui, our goal is to make sure our grads have the right tools to confidently work one-on-one with clients. We support our students so they can succeed. Students learn traditional BTB teachings, design details, reading floor plans, and most importantly how to apply them in a client situation. We show our students how they can combine their gifts with feng shui to create a unique offering for their own businesses.

Q: What is the latest area of expansion for your school?
A: We are currently working on bringing senior feng shui teachers on board to teach advanced standalone courses and workshops, such as Nine Star Ki. We are also in the process of creating two new feng shui business courses that focus on building your client base and manifesting growth in your business.

Q: Besides yourself, what does your school offer that is unique to Feng Shui training opportunities?
A: Our name was not by accident. We have meditation and mindfulness practices integrated into our feng shui certification program. Anjie Cho is a trained dharma arts teacher in the lineage of Shambala, and we have a module dedicated to cultivating your qi and building a meditation practice.

Q: What is your guiding philosophy about teaching Feng Shui?
A: Our guiding principle about teaching feng shui is to be true to the tradition and lineage of Black Sect feng shui. We honour the golden chain of wisdom. This is the reason we offer all the materials in our certification course live and in real-time, and do our best to transmit the teachings one-on-one to our students. Fundamentally, our hope and joy is that our students exceed and succeed us, because that means we have done our jobs as teachers.

Q: What is your favorite nugget of wisdom about using Feng Shui yourself?
A: Laura: It is so important to meditate and reflect in order to cultivate good qi, but you also have be ready to meet people where they are. Sometimes a client may not be ready to work on their own qi. Focusing on the physical space may be a better place to start. Hanging a feng shui crystal or moving a desk can sometimes be all they need to create a meaningful shift. Keep it simple, don’t make anyone feel wrong or fearful, because good feng shui is about flexibility and compassion.

Anjie: By connecting with the spaces around us, we can begin to further relate to and celebrate our outer and inner worlds. Feng shui says that we are interconnected with everyone and everything is alive, that there can be magic in making your bed every morning, gazing out the window, or walking through a doorway.

Q: What additional training does your school offer or plan to offer?
A: We are launching a Level 3 Post-grad Feng shui & Business course. It is a mentoring style 6 module (live & online) program where feng shui practitioners can case study their own business. We will cover everything from contracts, and branding to advanced cures for both residential and commercial clients. It is open to grads of the Mindful Design Program, we will also be accepting graduates and practitioners from other programs on a case by case basis.

School Spotlight – Feng Shui School of Chicago

Featuring the Feng Shui School of Chicago with director and founder, Laurie Pawli.  Read more about the school, her passions and joys of teaching in Laurie’s own words…

The Interview…

Q: Please describe your very first coming into awareness about Feng Shui.
A: It was truly an “AhHa” moment which I remember so clearly as a turning point in my life. Feng Shui was being discussed during a 2 hour PBS special and after seeing the program, I was absolutely, positively “hooked”. It mirrored a reflection of who I am as a person… a focus on balanced design & helping others achieve their goals in life. I followed up with a 6 hour class and then received my Certification. The rest is history!

Q: What is your branch of Feng Shui? How have you made it your own?
A: BTB (Black Sect Tantric Buddhist School of Feng Shui). I follow the guidelines of BTB closely according to the teachings of one of my first teachers, Professor Lin Yun.

Q: How has Feng Shui changed your life?
A: WOW! Now THAT is a question! The life changes have been massive. And fabulous! We were going through an extremely challenging valley in life, and after implementing Feng Shui in our home… Voila! New career opportunities appeared in unusual ways. Helpful people popped up from nowhere. Stuff started to happen to reform the paths in our family. I have been able to follow my passion of design and have found my true life path with Feng Shui.

Q: Describe your school’s approach to teaching Feng Shui.
A: Each student joins the class with an exciting energy to learn. My method is to continue that flow of energy while using a light hearted approach to the serious subject of Feng Shui. My technique includes examples of real life experiences using various Feng Shui adjustments, and the stories of success that are achieved.

Q: What is the newest addition to your curriculum?
A: The newest teaching program is through the addition of webinars. I’ve started a series of short, affordable classes that focus on particular aspects of Feng Shui.

Q: What is the latest area of expansion for your school?
A: We are now in Florida, too! And we will be hosting our first weekend retreat from March 1 to March 3, 2019, in Sarasota, FL which will focus on the middle areas of the Bagua: Sand, Surf, and Sun (Earth, Water & Fire)

Q: Besides yourself, what does your school offer that is unique to Feng Shui training opportunities?
A: Much of the Certification training is held in person. We also travel off site to conduct Feng Shui and Space Clearing consultations. The class also visits a design showroom where we analyze the 5 elements of Feng Shui in furniture to learn how each piece of furniture can be used in various guas.

Q: What is your guiding philosophy about teaching Feng Shui?
A: Everything is in perfect timing. Timing is always exactly as it should be for each student or client as they implement Feng Shui in their lives. I view myself as the catalyst to share the information of Feng Shui when that energetic time appears.

Q: What is your favorite nugget of wisdom about using Feng Shui yourself?
A: Always keep moving forward.
